## Chapô
**Artificial intelligence is often presented as a neutral tool, yet it may also become a powerful vehicle for reproducing cultural norms and social hierarchies. Ethan Zuckerman, Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Chair of the External Advisory Committee for the Digitalization Group at Sciences Po’s Open Institute for Digital Transformations, examines how AI systems and digital platforms shape the production and circulation of knowledge. AI models are trained on the values embedded in existing cultural data, what ideologies are they carrying forward—and whose vision of the world do they make appear as common sense?**
